Blue apatite beads: A new rage in the world of gemstones
Apatite beads have been long unknown. This beautiful gemstone has gained popularity with the recent invasion of the market by blue apatite beads from Madagascar. Known for its healing properties Apatite was used as a source of phosphate for the longest time. It has now found its place among Jewelry.
Deriving its name from the Greek word Apatao, Apatite translates to mean deception as it is usually mistaken other minerals. It has a soft texture and is high priced. It is said to be found in various colors like White, blue, yellow and purple. It is unusually brittle and is sensitive to heat. It is no wonder that apatite is not widely used in jewelry. The recent findings of blue apatite in Madagascar have helped this gemstone become famous in the world of modern jewelry. Blue apatite beads are found in various varieties. The neon blue apatite beads have been especially famous. They are found used in pendants and chains.
Apatite beads are famous for tier healing powers too as they help in reducing stress and helps you get rid of nervous tension. They are also said to increase one’s creative skills. Blue apatite beads by themselves cab be used without any special treatments as they are brilliant in their natural form. However, the rounded and square cut ones add an extra sense of sophistication to your jewelry.
Speaking of its texture and durability is worth mentioning here that if you own a fluorite ornament it is best cleaned with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Also, thanks to its soft nature it is not as widely used to fashion ornaments for mass commercial use. Fluorite more often than not finds its right place in a collector’s shelf. Fluorite is found in a wide range of colors.
